Required Materials

The required textbook is Baratto/Bergman/Hutchison: Elementary and Intermediate Algebra, 5th Ed. (McGraw-Hill) - ALEKS 360.

You must have an ALEKS 360 access code. You have these options:

  1. Combo package: Includes copy of text, ALEKS 360 (includes ebook). Gives a full year of access.
  2. ALEKS 360 52 wk access code (includes ebook). Gives a full year of access.
  3. ALEKS 360 18 wk access code (includes ebook). Gives access for the Fall term only.

Important Computer Requirement: You will use ALEKS 360 online. For all tests, you must use a computer with a webcam and Respondus Monitor.

As you work through the course, ALEKS will reassess you to make sure you retain the information. Financial Aid Access Code Instructions

A temporary Financial Aid Access Code is available, providing two weeks of access to ALEKS. To use this temporary access:

  4. Confirm you are in the correct class.
  5. Complete the registration.

  7. Follow the prompts.

Remember to purchase a regular Student Access Code *before* the temporary one expires to avoid interruptions.

Grading Breakdown

  • Objective Goals (7 Objectives, based on mastery): 40%
  • Tests (4 Tests at 10% each, Final Exam at 20%): 60%
